OTC Lumbosacral Orthosis Support, Heavy Duty Back Brace, TruTEK
The OTC 2894 TruTek lumbosacral orthosis effectively stabilizes the ligaments, tendons and muscles of the lower back, providing relief from pain and discomfort. Rigid anterior and posterior panels provide additional support to the abdomen and relieve pressure over the entire lower back to the level of the T-9 vertebra. Varying degrees of additional support can be obtained by adjusting the bilateral support pulls. Made from high quality nylon and cotton blend materials.
Application Instructions
- 1. Be sure that the posterior panel is secured to the back of the garment with the elastic band.
- 2. Unfasten all closures and loosen all adjustments on the side pulls. Position garment over torso so that the bottom of the back panel is approximately 2" above the gluteal crease.
- 3. Hold the left flap firmly with the left hand over the abdomen.
- 4. Grasp the right flap with the right hand, stretch the garment outwards, then wrap around the body using the contact closure strips so attach flap securely onto first flap over the abdomen.
- 5. Grasp the thumb loops on the side straps and pull them simultaneously until the required tension is achieved, then fasten them to the abdomen.
- 6. Check that garment is in proper position so that the back is centered over the spine, and the front pocket is centered over the front as well.
